project story
The project responds to the unique character of Piassa, one of Addis Ababa's most vibrant and walkable districts. Inspired by the area's strong pedestrian culture, the design prioritises public accessibility, open spaces, and seamless movement through a network of plazas, landscaped pathways, and active street frontages that encourage everyday interaction.

At the heart of the development is a contemporary civic centre that combines architecture, landscape, and public life. The proposal introduces cultural venues, educational facilities, commercial spaces, and recreational areas connected through a continuous urban experience that strengthens community engagement while creating a landmark destination for the city.
